General description
Ornithine decarboxylase (ODC1) is the first enzyme in polyamine synthesis and is mandatory for normal growth and is increased in many types of cancers. ODC1 has been shown to suppress the fmc1 deletion in yeast and restores healthy respiratory growth. ODC1 may play a role in promoting DNA synthesis in hepatocytes.
Immunogen
Full length of recombinant protein corresponding to human ODC1.
Material obtained from the National Cancer Institute's Clinical Proteomic Technologies for Cancer (CPTC) program.
